Wyatt {newborn} Session
Cute little Wyatt was a doll at his newborn session! He made me work for the sleepy shots but once he was settled on his tummy he was out like a light!
Jon and Jenna {wedding}
Last spring I met Jon and Jenna and their cute family in Jerome for some "engagement" shots for their wedding invitations. They were already married but were ready to host a wedding celebration for their friends and family. I don't typically shoot weddings, but Jon and I go way back so I agreed to travel to Jon's family ranch in Northern AZ to photography their wedding. It was a hot day in the desert but the sunset was spectacular and the vows were beautiful. Congrats Jon and Jenna!
Nursing {snow day} Minis
Lets just say snow in our part of Arizona is a rare occurrence. Extremely rare. And 6-8 INCHES of snow? Insanity.
I knew as the snow poured from the sky New Years Eve day that I had to do something special in all that amazing pure white stuff. And what could be more pure than a mama nursing her babe? So I threw out a quick model call and got quite the response. So Perfect Chance Photography and I decided what the hey? lets make this extra fun! So we teamed up to photography some sweet mamas and their adorable babies in the beautiful winter wonderland on New Years Day. It was an epic start to our year of capturing Motherhood!
(Now for the concerned observer I will let you know this IS Arizona - so while there may indeed have been 6 inches of snow on the ground it was a about 54 degrees while we were shooting - I wasn't even wearing a coat! All babies were snug and warm at mama's breast!)
Jazmine {maternity 2.0} Session
Jazmine's maternity session with sweet Lily is the very first post on this blog, so I was excited to get the chance to once again capture Jaz as she reaches the end of her second pregnancy. We met in Jerome on a chilly afternoon just after Christmas to captures some beautiful images. Of course Jaz came dressed super cute with sky high boots! We had lots of fun even though we were all freezing by the time we were done!

As usual I had a wonderful time at Tlaqupaque doing Christmas minis - for a couple families this was the third year I have done their Christmas pictures and its been such a joy to watch families grow and change!

Amber is one of my very dear friends and I was so excited to do her family pics in the beautiful autumn colors! This is one of my very favorite sessions of the year!
Travie is turning Two!
It's been a couple years since my family has been back in Missouri so we were pretty excited to take a trip back - especially during the beautiful fall season! My husbands cousin Lindsay called me up to see if we could sneak in some pictures of her little man Travie for his second birthday. It rained almost the whole time we were there but the very last day it cleared up and we headed out to Lindsay's parents farm where we got some amazing shots of Travie in the most amazing sunset light!
Andrew {watermelon smash} session
I've been photographing sweet Dru-dru-bee since he was in his mama's tummy! I love this boy and his family! We decided to be a little different for his first birthday cake smash and chose to smash a watermelon instead! It was a perfect summers end session and we wrapped it up with a tub and some bubbles!
And of course we did capture a little confection smashing at his actual party! ;)
You've come a long way baby! I'm so blessed to have been along for the journey!
Erlisha {maternity} Session
We met for a chilly sunrise session just before Erlisha's due date. We were both shivering, but the light we got was worth every chill! You are beautiful Erlisha!
And Erlisha's sweet baby made her way earthside in a beautiful homebirth a few days later. =)
