Caitlin - Violin in the Wild

The beautiful Caitlin used to be a cute little girl in my Sunday school class in Kansas City and now she's a talented college student at William Woods University.  It was so much fun getting to know her as an adult and we had a grand time blasting Lindsay Stirling, wandering the back roads of Missouri and getting scolded by an older gentleman who thought we were hunting...!

Thanks Caitlin for being willing to play your violin in a field with a long dress...haha!

Woods {family} Session

Zenia and I have been friends since college, both bridesmaids in each others weddings and now live thousands of miles and half an ocean away, so when I got the chance to catch up with her and her sweet family at a conference a few weeks ago I was thrilled!  One night after supper we managed to sneak away and grab some shots of her beautiful family in the setting sun.

Mermaid Magic

I had so much fun with all these little mermaids this summer and hope I find even more magical mermaids hiding in the Columbia waters next summer!

Want a magical mermaid session for your little girl (or yourself!)?  We have tails and accessories in many sizes and colors and will be happy to plan a magical mermaid shoot with you (once the water warms back up!)

Landon {milestone} + {family} Session

Landon's mama Rachel was my very first session in Columbia and I've absolutely loved watching Landon grow ever since!  He turned one at the beginning of the summer and we had so much fun capturing his busy little personality!  Happy birthday Landon!

Kaylee {milestone} session

I've been wanting to work on my studio work and it just so happens I have a friend with a beautiful, amazing daughter who was turning thirteen.  So Kaylee came into the studio and we had a blast trying on big dresses and high heels and making some beautiful images of a little girl who is becoming a beautiful woman - inside and out.

Thanks Jackie for sharing your sweet daughter - and letting me throw you in a few photos too!

Emery {newborn} Session

Sweet Emery was such a great way to come back from an extended health related photography break!  She was such a tiny little sleeper and I had lots of fun with her and her mama and daddy at their newborn session!    What a beautiful little family!

Week {1/52} of 2017

Moving cross country and starting my business all over again really messed with my 365 project last year but lets see how we do this year!  It's always good to remember why I started photography in the first place - these three little foxes of mine. <3

Day one - New Years was exhausting

Day two - late night clay play

Day three - little artist

Day four - Cat on guard

Day five - Kitty girl

Day six - Rainbow Dash

Day seven - A little help from Daddy

Eli {senior} Session

I don't step out of my motherhood specialty too often, but generally its for High School Seniors!  Something about this place in a teenagers life, exciting and full of promise, make a senior session so much fun to capture.  Eli's mama used to babysit my husband and his siblings {many} years ago so it was a fun full circle kinda moment to take her oldest sons senior photos this fall!  We met at Nifong park on a PERFECT fall afternoon (along with no less than 4 other photographers and their respective clients...haha) and captured some great images.  After we got some great sunset images we made a quick visit to the studio for some shots in his concert tux too!
